Summer Store Hours

Today is my son's last day of Kindergarten!  Wow!  Time is flying by!  Since he will be home all summer and more than likely at the store with me all day, everyday, I've decided to change the store hours for the summer.  

Beginning the week of June 1st our NEW Summer Hours are as follows:

Sunday:         Closed

Monday:       Closed

Tuesday:       Closed

Wednesday:  10-5

Thursday:     10-5

Friday:          10-5

Saturday:      10-3

The only real change is that we will no longer be open on Tuesdays.

Yellow Painted Furniture

It's a chilly, gloomy, rainy day today.  I needed a little sunshine in my life so I headed over to Pinterest to check out some yellow painted furniture.

Yellow sure seems like a bold color for furniture, but it is amazing how it can give a space that much needed pop of color.

The Painted Chest was featured in Life & Style Magazine!

My goodness, time flies when you are having fun.  I don't think I ever told you guys that I was featured in Life & Style magazine!

Back in December, I received a call from a writer from Life & Style who wanted to come interview me for the next issue of their magazine.  To say I was excited was an understatement!  While it is a regional magazine, they are very choosy about who is featured.  I had only had my store open a month when I got the call.  Chanda Green was amazing and really put me at ease.

It was just supposed to be a short little article, so I was really surprised when February rolled around and I had a two-page spread.

Ms. Green's writing is much better than mine, so I will just let you read the piece for yourself.
